To start computing the BTU's needed for any kind of space, you first need to get its square footage by increasing the spaces size by its size. A ceiling height of 8 feet is thought. To compensate for taller ceilings, raise the square video by 12% for each and every added foot of ceiling height. As an example, a 12 x 12 space amounts to 144 square feet.
