Without smart tactics or voice chat, the overwhelming volume of adversaries - that can come from all of angles - brings your group to their keens. If the enemy doesn't see sneaking up on him from behind or his side, then they can not cry to alert his comrades nor will he have a very chance to fireplace his weapon. Comparisons with Tomb Raider are in fact off here, because the depth of puzzles and progress is a lot more shallow compared to adventures of Ms Croft, with the action barely stopping less than marking what to do with a big neon sign.
