Their patience paid off and the PS3 has clawed its way into the running for top level console on this generation. It nails every element that drives this type of experience, and does so having a panache and flair that elevates it above the majority of it's rivals. Comparisons with Tomb Raider are actually off here, because the depth of puzzles and progress is more shallow than the adventures of Ms Croft, with the game only stopping less than marking what to do using a big neon sign.
