Woody Woodpecker: Crazy Castle 5 (Game Boy Advance) - Description

The Fairy World has beene invaded by Demons! Step into Woody Woodpeckers shoes and aid Mother Nature in her quest to free the Fairy World.

There´s only one problem: Woody can´t go straight to the Fairy World. He needs to complete Sand World,Wind World, Tree World, Water World and Fire World before he can enter the Fairy World.

Each of these worlds has its own special Fairy Powers, which can help Woody through.

Enough variation of gameplay, if you ask me. But what´s a platformgame without the necessary items? Don´t worry, they´re in Crazy Castle 5 as well.

First of all, you´ll have to find 8 keys in every world in order to get to the next. Then there´s Hearts, Fairy Bottles (for the Special Powers), 1-UP´s, a Plunger Gun (you can pick up plungers that miss their target), Time Bombs, Clocks, Helmets (invincibility) and small Magic Bottles (move through solid rock).

But we´re still not there! Woody´s got some extra moves. Double tapping left or right makes him run (great idea, instead of holding a button all the time). Double tap down while on a ladder makes our little bird slide down fast. Maps can be viewed, and on them you can ´ask´ where the doors you already opened are. way you can easily find the doors you still need to enter.

And then there are the minigames. Some of the treasure chests you´ll encounter throughout the worlds, are actually portals to the Roulette and Slot Machines minigames. You earn valuable items if you are lucky enough to win a minigame.

And even if you know the whole game by heart, won every item from the slot machines/roulette, you´re still not done! There´s a multiplaying option in Crazy Castle5! Play as Woody, Winnie, Knothead or Splinter in a game of "Tag" with up to 4 players. Earn extra points if you are able to tag Mother Nature!

Taking this all together, I think Woody Woodpecker: Crazy Castle 5 will be the next ´Big´ platformgame available.

WWCC5 is currently scheduled for a February 4, 2003 release
