Super Mario Advance 2 (Game Boy Advance) - Description
Game Ratings
He´s back... And this time he´s back with another classic... Get ready for Super Mario Advance 2!
Just like SMA1, SMA2 is a bundle of two classic Mario games. This time, it´s Super Mario World (SNES) and Mario Bros (NES). The second of these two was already bundled with SMA1, so I won´t go any further about this one.
The first game, Super Mario World, was the best Mario game ever released on SNES. This time, GBA owners get the (second?) chance to play this marvelous game.
The GBA has been compared to the SNES a million times now, and they´re right! The GBA is a little bit superior to the SNES! Mario World´s graphics aren´t equal to the original, they´re ever better!
A very colorfull spectacle is about to begin on your GBA when you turn it on. Smooth scrolling and well animated characters are two other pro´s for this game.
All 96 levels from the original are included, including the immense difficult Starroad and the Special World...
SMW isn´t just a clone. There are some new things (secrets mostly). One of the most striking features is the new character. That´s right... You had noticed it already, didn´t you? LUIGI is now a fully playable character!
Luigi has (just as in SMA1) the ability to jump higher than Mario, but loses in speed ´n stuff. This makes some levels easier, while another seems almost impossible.
It´s not all just happy thoughts with this game...
The sound hasn´t improved over the years, and there´s still no multiplaying feature in the platform game (only in Mario Bros.). It´s time the developers start thinking about this, cause many games (like Chip ´n Dale and Donkey Kong Country) have proven it works...
