The game features the great role-playing adventure that Pokon fans love, while expanding the quest to include awesome new features and locations. Pokon FireRed version and Pokon LeafGreen version build on all previous Pokon games to create the ultimate Pokon experience.

Cut the cords! The newest Pokon adventure lets players battle, trade, collect and more, all without the need for connecting cables. Players simply attach the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter, which comes bundled with both versions, to their Game Boy Advance systems and communicate directly with one another. When visiting a special area (Union Room), connected players appear directly on one another's screens.

Pokon chit-chat! Players who gather in a Union Room can send text messages directly to one another. Up to 40 people can share the environment and up to five people can buddy up at once to join a chat session and select pre-set messages to send, or type in messages of their own creation. Players can exchange game challenges, talk battle strategy or just shoot the breeze.

More than 100 Pokon are out there for players to discover. Pokon FireRed and Pokon LeafGreen are compatible with Pokon Ruby, Pokon Sapphire and Pokon Colosseum. Pokon fans can access, trade and battle the Pokon from their favorite games - all in one place.

Expanded game play with new adventures, new challenges to face and new territory to explore.

Game Storyline: Pokon is the coming-of-age story of an 11-year-old boy or girl who is given his or her first Pokon and sets off on a quest to become the best trainer in the world - an ultimate Trainer. Enter the region of Kanto, where you start your journey in your home of Pallet Town, aided only by your first Pokon and then your Pok?dex, given to you by Professor Oak. From there you travel the region, raising and training your Pokon for battle. You compete against other trainers at the Pokon Gyms and earn badges toward your goal. The Pokon you collect come in all shapes and sizes, from many different types with different strengths and weaknesses - Fire, Water, Grass, Psychic, Electric and more.

For the first time, special help menus are available to guide novice players. The intuitive menus instruct them on key Pokon facts, such as how to battle, definitions of certain terms and advice on what to do in a given situation. Players can also raise Pokon at Day-Care centers.

Special techniques/abilities/features: Pokon FireRed and Pokon LeafGreen leap forward, as new moves from recent games have been incorporated into this series. A new Union Room provides a hub for social gaming, where up to 40 players can meet, trade Pokon, battle or chat in groups of five. The new Pok?dex is more colorful and easier to use than ever. Pokon can be sorted by a variety of different categories.

Note on multi-player functionality:

Two or four players can battle at one time. Two or five players can chat at one time. Two players can trade Pokon at one time. Up to 40 players can meet in the Union Room.
