Eggheads (Nintendo DS) - Description

Featuring official questions set by the Eggheads team, game players can prove their trivia know-how with nine specialist subjects including History, Sport, Politics and Food and Drink. There are three modes of play; normal, challenge and training mode.

In normal mode, there are 5 rounds to play per game, covering a broad range of subjects. Each round consists of up to a maximum of 6 questions (excluding Sudden Death); the Eggheads will answer up to 3 questions each and so will you. You will be asked a question first, then the Eggheads will answer their question. Then you will answer your second question, and so on, until a winner is declared. In the event of a tie the round will move to Sudden Death questions. You and the Eggheads will then take turns to answer the questions until an incorrect answer is made and the opposing side will be declared the winner of that round.

Rounds 1 and 4 will be played against a different Egghead from the formidable team: you will eliminate the Egghead from the final round if you beat them. The final round is played against the 5th Egghead plus any Eggheads that you didn't beat in the previous 4 rounds. When all 5 rounds are completed, the winner of the game will be declared.

Challenge mode features a series of 10-mini-games which will put your brain to the ultimate test. Initially only 2 mini-games will be available; to unlock the following 2 games, you must score a minimum of 800 points in both games and so on. You have 60 seconds to complete each game. The clock is ticking!

Use the training mode to brush up on your skills, improve your knowledge to become the ultimate Egghead!

The Statistics Screen displays your Egghead rating and your potential of becoming an Egghead! The games you have played, the number of rounds won, and the number of rounds lost are displayed, along with the number and grade of 'medals' you have achieved by playing against the Eggheads.
