Hey Arnold! (Game Boy Advance) - Description

Game Ratings

We're sorry, but we don't have any reviews on this game yet.

Yet again, a game based on the movies. This time based on "Hey Arnold! The Movie" (June 2002).

Just like in the movies, Arnold (you) goes on a quest to save the neighborhood. It seems that some mean businessman wants to take down this neighborhood to build himself the ultimate shoppingmall (the "Super Beeper Empirium"). For a little boy (yes, Arnold´s a he, despite the looks), this might be a little bit hard, but luckily for him (and you) he´s got friends, family and weapons (bubblegum, basketballs, etc.)

First about the friends and family. He´s got a lot of them, but apart from Arnold himself, only three of them (Gerald, Grandpa and Grandma) are playable in the game. Though the characters seem different, using them in the levels doesn´t make them unique. Gerald isn´t stronger, Arnold isn´t faster or anything like that. It´s just a nice way to keep the players attention, while following the movie´s plot.

The levels themselves aren´t that much different either: each level has it´s task (find 5 pictures, find Arnolds friends, deliver some newspapers). These tasks become quite boring after a while. Luckily, each area (5 of them in total) is followed by a boss-fight. These bosses aren´t to difficult to master.

The game looks quite like the movie itself. A very cartoony atmosphere, and between the levels some pics from the movie to show you the development of the story.
For sound, this game isn´t to bad. Catch tunes with every area (so again, 5 songs) running in the background together with the ´bangs´ and ´pows´ from your excellent bubblegum-fightingskills.

Overall, "Hey Arnold!" isn´t to bad, but it´s quite a one-liner. If you´re not easily bored, I think you should try this one out.
