Less than two weeks until a new puzzle game hits the Nintendo DS. Today we bring you the facts on New York Times CrossworDS plus some screenshots.

Crossword puzzle aficionados have a new outlet with The New York Times Crosswords for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Budcat Creations, this game will challenge even the most savvy wordplay enthusiasts when it ships this spring.

The New York Times Crosswords features more than 1,000 real crossword puzzles and the unique ability to write in answers with the stylus or use a Touch Screen keyboard to enter letters. Various modes of play include Puzzle Me Quick for a fast word fix; Puzzle Week for extended play with progressive difficulty; or Challenge mode with adjustable time and difficulty settings. In addition, the game includes both cooperative and competitive 2-player play so puzzle fanatics can work together or face off in wireless challenges.

• Complete more than 1,000 puzzles across Puzzle Me Quick!, Puzzle Week, or Crosswords
• Challenge mode which includes time and difficulty settings you can adjust to your liking
• Compete against up to three friends in a wireless multiplayer VS match or work together to fill in clues in 4-player cooperative play
• Experience multiple visual themes as you complete puzzles
• Take advantage of special functions including Hint (fills in a letter of a word you can't figure out) and Undo (remove a letter you've placed incorrectly)
