No Online For Metroid Prime 3
For those waiting to get their hands on Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and kick their friends' ass online, we've got some bad news...
We hate to be the messenger, but our colleagues from GamePro managed to conduct an interview with Michael Kelbaugh, president and CEO of the company behind the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Retro Studios. During the interview, Mr Kelbaugh states that an online multiplayer-mode was once discussed, but received a lower priority than enhancing the gameplay of the singleplayer-mode, resulting in a non-online Metroid title for Wii.
Those not despressed enough by the above are invited to read the full article over at GamePro's, or leave your opinion in the comments below.

Yea, this was known a long time ago. They stated it was meant to be a single-player experience.
People kept their hopes high for sudden announcements
well not me. It might sound like i was a pessimist but i knew it was never gonna be in the game. The single player is and always has been the main focus. It is using WiiConnect24 so maybe we'll get some new stuff for download for it
Hunters had online support...
That was the intent with hunters, it wasn't as puzzle or story-driven as the others.
True, but give people a finger and they'll expect at least the same (or a complete hand) the next time.
It's so bad news. I'm angry with Retro for this. The less skilled company NST implemented on Hunters the better multiplayer experience on DS. And Retro, with some of the best developers from company like iD, Rare, 3DRealms and so on can't. What they are saying "single player focused game" is only a bad excuse: a lot of great games in single player have immense multiplayer modes, for example Goldeneye, or Blizzard games.
