WII New Wii Game Announced - Alan Hansen's Sports Challenge

Exciting sports quizes head your way with the newly announced Alan Hansen's Sports Challenge comes to Wii.

In anticipation of its forthcoming sports title : Alan Hansen's Sports Challenge - Oxygen Games is pleased to be able to offer all-formats pack shots, some preliminary renders and a logo for media use.

Probably the most honoured player in the history of British soccer, centre-back Hansen captained Liverpool to its victorious double in 1986; however, an ongoing knee injury effectively ended his playing career in 1991. Fortunately for Hansen and his dedicated fans, the Beautiful Game's loss was the BBC's gain when he became the face of Match of the Day Live.

Hansen is best known for his authoritative and rational analyses of matches, as well as someone who can be relied on to highlight both triumphs and 'Å“diabolical'? mistakes of defenders! Unlike other ex-professional footballers, Hansen continually refuses to sit with commentators for matches, whether he's amongst the action at the stadium, where he prefers to be : at least for live matches : or at Television Centre for highlights.

Aside from soccer, Hansen has built a solid reputation for being an excellent motivational speaker and has also been known to show his dry sense of humour in television adverts, such as for Carlsberg, when he played a butler, cleaning his master's football boots! On a more serious note, Hansen is a talented golfer, with a handicap of three, hosting documentaries and commentating on the Masters for the BBC.

Despite famously (and erroneously) declaring back in 1995 that, 'Å“You won't win anything with kids'?, when referring to Manchester United's soon-to-be League and FA Cup-winning team, Hansen remains one of the most respected authorities in sporting media today, contributing weekly columns to the Daily Telegraph, in addition to his television work.

Hansen, with his considerable expertise and experience, is the natural choice to chair this sports-oriented quiz, and Oxygen Games is pleased to be working with him. The company is confident that both sports and Hansen fans will be equally delighted with Alan Hansen's Sports Challenge - for Wii, PlayStation®2 and PC this Christmas.
