Advance Wars 2 - New Information & Screen
Advance Wars 2 is unexpectadly playable at the MGS 2007 in Paris. And while only one screen has been released (see here), new information has cropped up about the game itself.
According to NeoGaf poster Sad_Panda, the game drops the cartoony look of old and replaces it with a much more realistic miltary look. A new set of CO's are in-charge this time, and gone are the likes of Andy, Sami, Max and the others.
Also, one new unit has been revealed. While their is no official name or screen of it in action, we can reveal that their is a bike infantry unit. No more information available as of now, but expect to hear more as the Paris MGS 2007 continues.

Personally, I would still mark this as a rumor...
Looks decidedly like a homebrew style game from the screenshot. We know the game is coming as Nintendo has said so but the fact that THAT is the only 'screenshot' baffles me considering the game is mere months away from release.
Oh God, please let them not change one of my favorite game series EVER too much... Dammit, I'm dying to see more pictures of the game! If anyone sees or hears of any kind of new shots, please show us the link or whatever ASAP... I'll be holding my breath 'til then. =¤
Best handheld game ever is back again. Can't be anything but fantastic news really can it? A bike unit would be pretty neat as well, imagine the movement ranges! When is it meant to be coming out again?
early 2008. It was supposed to hit the stores before the end of the year but Nintendo have delayed it until early 2008.
Alright, they've had pictures of it on Jeux-France.com for a couple of hours now... Doesn't look THAT different from the couple former games, which is a good thing.
its alright that they dropped the cartoony look but how can it be a sequel if they drop the old charachters this isnt going to Iraq dual strike 2 i didnt care much for max and andy but dont get rid of sami i could easily win any map with her and if they got rid of kanbei
