Majesco Gets Humongous License
Majesco and Humongous have struck a deal in which Majesco gets to deliver brand new titles.
Majesco today announced a deal to bring popular Humongous characters Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and SPY Fox to the Wii system in mid-2008. These games are being produced by Interactive Game Group, under license from Humongous.
The only strategy game series for kids at all stages of thinking, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and SPY Fox are part of the Humongous properties catalog that combined has sold more than 15 million units and received more than 400 awards for quality given its charming characters and great stories. Now Freddi Fish in Kelp Seed Mystery, Pajama Sam in Don't Fear the Dark and SPY Fox in Dry Cereal integrate the Wii Remote in point-and-click style adventure play that the entire family can enjoy together.
"For more than a decade, Humongous has continued to create some of the most memorable and successful interactive entertainment properties for children," said Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer at Majesco. "Their characters have demonstrated both tremendous staying power and widespread consumer appeal, and we think this kind of family-friendly content is well-suited to the Wii system."
"My goal is to contribute to the success of the Humongous properties by facilitating the distribution of these Wii titles with Majesco in the United States and Atari Europe overseas, thus paving the way for future development and new products for this highly recognized franchise," said Fric Chesnais, General Manager of Interactive Game Group.
Each of the three Humongous titles will be available in mid-2008 in the United States for $19.99 each.
