NDS Playmobil Pirates: Blackbeard's Treasure

Although currently only set for a release in German (as far as we know), the Playmobil pirates are heading for the Nintendo DS in a swashbuckling adventure called Playmobil Pirates: Blackbeard's Treasure.

Although blessed with little experience the one-eyed Playmobil pirates are up for a great adventure, in which they cross the Caribbean, discover many islands and with many exciting adventures awaiting.

The goal of the game is to collect all 9 parts of Blackbeard's treasuremap scattered througout the corners of the Caribbean, find said treasure and rescue a cursed mermaid from the hands of evil soldiers whilst doing so.

During the game, player will find themselves performing various tasks, including:

  • Trade: There are 16 beautiful (yet dangerous) Caribbean islands to discover. Each island is different but you can trade with each of them and enrich yourself.
  • Pimp-your-Pirate Boat: On some island you can find a boat yard. Depending on your stack of gold, there are various ship types available for a pirate's desires. You can buy a ship, repair or upgrade your current one. The better the ship, the greater your chances at battle against the enemy soldiers.
  • Explore islands: In all 16 islands a Jump'n'Run minigame can be played in which you get a tour of the island. While doing so, you can find more gold or other surprises.
  • Gamble: Some islands hold skeleton players, always in for a little game of dice. Win a lot of money fast, or lose it even faster in a game against these foul players.
  • Conquer: Before our hero (Captain One-eye) will finally salvage the treasure and free the Mermaid, he'll have to go through 70 missions. Sink the enemy ship, save fellow pirates from a watery grave and more... It's your task
