World of Goo - DVD or WiiWare?

According to the recent release schedules from Nintendo of Europe, World of Goo will be disc-based. Despite the fact that the game was previously announced as a WiiWare title.

Already mentioned in our own comments section (to wich you are invited to join the discussions at any time), the recent release schedule by Nintendo of Europe showed WiiWare title World of Goo in between the 'normal' DVD-based titles heading for Wii. At the moment, rumours travel amongst gaming-related websites claiming that developer 2D Boy will release the title in the US as a WiiWare title, while Europe gets a tangible DVD-release.

At the same time of these rumours, 2D Boy has released a few more snippits of information on the Wii(Ware) title:

• Everything is getting translated into 5 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German
• The Wii version (in respect to the PC version) will have multiplayer co-op play in every single level. Additional players can join in or leave at any time.

To our knowledge, 2D Boy has not yet (officially) responded to the rumour on the disc-based release.
