Astro Ranch Featuring Cross-platform Connectivity
The people behind iPwnGames.com (iPhone) had an interview with Paul farley from Tag Games. According to the awnsers given, the DS is facing cross-platform connectivity with Astro Ranch.
iPwnGames.com recently had an interview with Paul Farley from Tag Games, the developer who's currently working on Astro Ranch for the iPhone, Nintendo DS and N-Gage. In the interview, mr Farley gave a few interesting new details on their first iPhone title which also affect us DS gamers.
Mr Farley brought up how Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon inspired their team to develop Astro Ranch and says that their concept artist is a big fan of the 50's style. But the coming of a harvest Moon/Animal Crossing clone isn't the biggest news here.
From the original interview: "How important will connectivity be in Astro Ranch? Right now the connectivity aspect of the game is the biggest technical hurdle for us to overcome. Not only do we want players with iPhone's to be able to connect to each other but for the connected features to be device agnostic meaning it won't matter if you have an iPhone, N-Gage, DS or even mobile version of the game the same functionality will be available across them all."
Apart from the above, more interesting bits appear in the interview. The full interview can be found over at iPwnGames.com's site.
Thanks go out to Sander Delabie for the heads-up!
