ESRB spills on new titles
Once again, the software ratings performed by the ESRB have disclosed the existance of a few new titles for both Wii and Nintendo DS, including... nudity on Wii?
Through its online listing, the ESRB has (most likely unwantingly) disclosed the existance of a few Nintendo DS and Wii titles. Below are a few of the titles recently showing up in the listings, of which we didn't know about yet.
Domino Rally (Wii) Rating summary: "This is an action game in which players assume the role of a super hero named Mr. Domino who helps townspeople with tasks and chores. Players run on top of dominos and domino-shaped objects (e.g., humans, animals, and buildings) to reach goals and complete tasks. As the human and animal-shaped dominos are knocked over, they collapse to the ground as "dizzy stars" appear over their heads."
Sim Earth (Wii) Rating summary: "This is a simulation game in which players explore a new planet and use tools to create habitable living conditions for a civilization. Players can control the temperature, adjust the atmosphere, and customize the landscape using a 2D overhead grid. Players can also "click on" certain icons that represent geological disasters (e.g., hurricanes, volcanoes, and atomic bombs) to alter conditions on the planet."
Sky Pirates of Neo Terra (Nintendo DS) Rating summary: "This is a story-driven racing game in which players control flying vehicles called "Glidewings" to race against rivals. Players can drive through winding tracks, collect gems, and launch small bombs to slow down opponents. Story elements include references car accidents and death (e.g., "Council Elah was murdered?" and "I am dying")."
Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron (Nintendo DS) Rating summary: "Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron is an action adventure game in which players experience different battles from the Star Wars universe. From a third-person perspective, players engage in space battles, 'speeder bike' chases, and top-down battling. The ground battle includes constant laserfire combined with hand-to-hand combat using 'lightsabers.' A depleting health bar and various "yelps" indicate damage inflicted upon certain characters."
But perhaps the most unexpected title popping up in the ESRB listings is Sexy Poker for Wii, described as a mature title containing nudity, sexual themes and simulated gambling. The ESRB further eplains the title as: "This is a Strip Poker game in which players engage in games of Black Jack and Poker against female avatar opponents. The object of the game is to win hands in order to remove articles of clothing from still images of the female characters. Nurses, police women, office workers, and sports figures can eventually be stripped down to show their bare breasts. The female opponents encourage the player with provocative comments such as, "I'll always know what's in your hand" and, "If you impress me, I might give you my special treatment.""
