A gigantic floating eye for you to fight on WiiWare, that's what Ghostfire Games is offering in this new trailer on Rage of the Gladiator for WiiWare.

Rage of the Gladiator is a fantasy-based fighting game. You play the role of Gracius, battling for his life in the arena.

Your equipment consists of a magical war-hammer and a trusty shield. Wait for the right moment, then dodge, jump, or block your enemy's attacks. Next, unleash your rage by brutally pounding your enemy with your war-hammer and bashing them with your shield. Each opponent has a unique style and pattern that you need to pay close attention to. Learn to exploit the weakness of each enemy with the proper timing and agility, and you will triumph.

In the video above, you'll see two new moves by Gracius: Lasers and (the finishing move) Crystalline Prison. Ixthid uses his lasers to attack, and does this in many different ways. Sometimes you have to jump them, sometimes dodge, and sometimes block. The move where Ixthid says "Eternal Darkness", can only be countered, not avoided. To counter it, you must strike him at just the right time, and the move will be cancelled.

The finishing move called Crystalline Prison can be seen near the end of the video. Crystalline prison is a mystical combo that summons a magical shard of glass to imprison your enemy. After imprisoning your enemy, you can smash that shard with your hammer and do great damage to your enemy.
