Clayfighter set for re-release
Who remembers the original Clayfighter for Super NES? If you do, you might be happy to hear that Interplay has announced remakes of the game for DSiWare and WiiWare.
Interplay Entertainment has announced that it will update Clayfighter for play on Wii and Nintendo DSi. Clayfighter will be developed for Interplay by StudioBlack Games' Eric Hart, original programmer of Clayfighter for Super NES. Interplay CEO HervCaen commented, "We are very enthusiastic to resurrect Clayfighter's crazy characters and unique humor. Eric Hart's involvement in the previous Clayfighter titles makes StudioBlack the logical choice to give this classic franchise a well-deserved makeover." Fans can expect improved graphics and revamped game play to take advantage of Nintendo's current generation hardware.
Clayfighter is planned for a Summer 2010 release via digital download through Nintendo's WiiWare and DSiWare services.
