Twitter says: New Mario game in the works

If we're to believe the tweets by Charles Martinet, the voice actor for many Mario titles, a new Mario-title is in the works. And we're not talking about New Super Mario Bros of Super Mario Galaxy 2...

Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario, Wario, Luigi, Waluigi, Baby Luigi and Baby Mario for Nintendo, put a few interesting tweets on Twitter during the past week. With these tweets, Charles seems to have disclosed the existance of a new Mario title although details were left out.

On October 10, Martinet already wrote: "Mama Mia!!!! I'm going to Seattle this week to record a new Mario game! Woo Hooo!!!!! I can hardly wait!!!!1" At that time, many still believed Martinet was pointing at the voices for Super Mario Galaxy 2. Nothing was less true as it turned out.

This weekend, Martinet revealed an interesting detail on this new job: "Awesome new Mario Game! And it's not NSMB Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2, but it's going to be crazy fun!"

So there we have it: a brand new Mario title of which we know absolutely nothing at all. We don't even know whether we're talking a new Nintendo DS(i) title, WiiWare title or even a brand new Wii adventure for our moustached hero. Time will tell, as will we.

  To be honest, I believe it might be a DSiWare title. Somehow I don't think Martinet would be able to speak about this already if it was a huge title.
