Lost In Shadow Gets a Release Date In North America

Hudson Entertainment have officially announced the release date for Lost In Shadow in North America, and at the same time revealed some new gameplay in the form of screenshots and a trailer.

Lost In Shadow, the unique adventure game coming courtesy of developers Hudson Soft, has finally been given a release date in North America. While many had thought the game would land on store shelves this year, Hudson Entertainment have dashed those hopes, but only slight. The game will see an official release on January 4th 2011, making for a great way to start the new year.

Along with this announcement, a new batch of screenshots have been released along with a new trailer showing off a new, never before seen gameplay mechanic known as Materialization, where the character's shadow can pass through a portal and appear in an ethereal-looking white human form to aid his progression in the shadows by completing puzzles. This power, however, is only available to use for a limited time and so you'll have to retreat back through the portal into your shadow form.

A European release date still hasn't been given, and release schedules still have the game down for a release at some point later this year. We'll keep you posted on a this when it becomes available.
