WII Metroid: Other M - Bugged

Metroid: Other M is, according to reports, bugged. And with that we don't mean there's a bunch of nasty critters running around, but an error in the game that might withhold you from proceeding...

According to various reports, Nintendo's recently released Metroid: Other M contains a software-bug that might prevent you from proceeding further in the game at a certain point. Players reaching the lava pit in Sector 3 will encounter a door. Those of you who find the door in question being red, we're sorry to inform you that you might have to load a previously saved game or start all over again... and hope next time you encounter the door it won't be red.

According to IGN, Nintendo's customer support already confirmed that they're aware of the bug, but that the only 'fix' they know is either reloading a savegame or start all over again. Whether Nintendo is planning to release a patch (or whether Nintendo is capable to do so) or even re-release a fixed version of the game, remains unknown for the moment.

  • About what Trinest? If you're referring to it not being that great a game then you would be wrong. It's just very different from the Prime game and more like Fusion than anything else.

  • Never experienced this myself. One thing I will say to those worried about it is to just make sure you kill absolutely everything in the room as that seems to be a condition for some doors to open. Obviously, I've been told people are still experiencing the bug even after doing this so if you do get it, unfortunately you will have to reload or worse, start again as there's no guarantee that a reload will fix the problem.
