WII Retro City Rampage Update

Brian Provinciano revealed to Destructoid some brand new information relating to Retro City Rampage.

Firstly, Retro City Rampage will no longer be releasing this year. Instead it will release in 2011. Secondly the game will also no longer be a WiiWare exclusive. With the title headed to Xbox Live Arcade in Summer 2011.

The Xbox version is set to release before the WiiWare version. With the WiiWare version coming out in Fall 2011, instead of Summer.

Also revealed is that both versions will contain much more content. With extra missions and characters for both versions. As well as the Xbox version featuring wide screen support, exclusive Live features such as a challenge mode, character creator mode and video replays.

Brian Provinciano was also quoted saying "in order to continue making these games and not have to start flipping burgers after Retro City Rampage is done, it needed to be multi-platform", also reminding fans the game is "100% self-funded". On the topic of the WiiWare version had also mentioned he has "done everything possible to avoid disappointing Wii fans" and "apologizes for the delay".
