Pucca powers up
Here's one we missed last month: Rising Star Games is bringing Pucca Power Up to the PAL regions. We've got some screens and information for the Pucca fans inside.
Rising Star Games will release Pucca Power Up, and thus becomes the first publisher to bring the hugely popular Pucca brand to the PAL videogames market. The action platformer will be available to buy in the UK for the Nintendo DS in early 2011.
The game features six unique episodes following central characters Pucca and Garu through their adventurous love story. This quirky mismatch between the daughter of a noodle seller and a ninja challenges players to help Pucca and Garu on their quest for true love. Players will also learn new skills from Master Su and complete mini-games such as Kissing Garu and Jumping off the Cliff.
Pucca - created by Vooz Character Systems - was originally an online Flash Mini-series. It has since grown into a much loved brand, popular in over 120 nations worldwide. As well as videogames the Pucca brand boasts television shows, merchandising, clothes and toys.
"We're incredibly pleased to bring Pucca Power Up to the UK market," says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. "This charming and unique IP has proved incredibly popular across the globe and we're fortunate to bring the first videogame title to the PAL market. It's great to work with such a much loved brand and an honour to work with Vooz. We aim to continue the Pucca success story with the release of Pucca Power Up, on PAL, early next year."
Pucca Power Up will be released throughout Europe in early 2011.
