Planet Crashers heading for Nintendo 3DS

UTV Ignition Games has announced that Planet Crashers 3D is currently in development and will be available for Nintendo 3DS in early 2012. Based on the original Planet Crashers IP that is coming to mobile and browser-based platforms later this year through Ignition's sister company, UTV True Games, this Nintendo 3DS-specific version combines classic quest-oriented gameplay with light-hearted RPG combat. Planet Crashers 3D also introduces competitive multiplayer modes and endless character customization that freshens the beloved genre.

In Planet Crashers 3D players take on the role of a young space cadet who has recently graduated from the esteemed Planet Crashers Academy and is ready to take on his or her first assignmentand it's a real doozy. Reports indicate that an unknown evil has emerged from a dark corner of the galaxy with plans to snuff out the sun! It's up to players to venture across the galaxy to prevent this unimaginable catastrophe from happening.

With its playful storyline, intriguing quests, head-to-head multiplayer mode and simple, intuitive gameplay that fully takes advantage of the Nintendo 3DS system, Planet Crashers 3D delivers a fun (and funky!) RPG adventure like never before. Developed by Texas-based Renegade Kid, Planet Crashers 3D is scheduled for release early next year.
