escapeVektor: Chapter 1 Release Date Revealed

Streight off the press and Nnooo has revealed the release date for their upcoming WiiWare title.

escapeVektor: Chaper 1 is set to release this month, on the 29th September. The best part is that the release is simultaneous across all regions which means America, Europe and Australia will enjoy the game on the same day.

The price tag? Well the game will come in at 500 Nintendo Points. A price tag which no doubt is designed so the game doesn't get overlooked as gamers move away from the WiiWare service.

The game is self-described as a retro styled arcade game in which the player controls Vektor, an entity trapped inside the player's CPU. The player has to help Vektor escape while avoiding an array of enemies.

"We've made a game which we believe will appeal to casual through to more dedicated gamers", said Nic Watt, Creative Director at Nnooo. "The gameplay is straightforward enough for everyone to pick up but the the game itself becomes increasingly complex, particularly if the player wants to complete all levels without using Detonate, one of Vektor's abilities. We've also included 40 badges for players to collect."

"There are 30 levels to play and a medal system which will challenge the most hardcore gamer", said Watt. "We've also gone for that retro arcade feel and backed it up with some great music. In addition, bonus levels open up if you own our other WiiWare game, Pop. We'll be releasing more details about the game over the coming weeks."
