Rayman Legends revealed for Wii U
Ubisoft reveals during their E3 conference the next instalment in the Rayman series, Rayman Legends.
Legends is a follow up to last years Rayman Origins. A game which introduced a new Ubi Art Engine, developed by Ubisoft Montpellier.
During the conference Ubisoft went into further detail about the control scheme for the Wii U version. Mentioning that the touch screen is used to control a new character which helps the player throughout the game, with the interaction allowing the player to pick up collectables and interact with the levels.
"The combinations of new controls and original game styles that the Nintendo Wii U makes possible really inspired the creative ambition of the team working on Rayman Legends," said Michel Ancel, creative director at Ubisoft. "Rayman Legends expands upon what everyone loves about Rayman's world, and adds new ways of playing together that will make it the most collaborative and fun game in the franchise."
At this stage it seems it is exclusive to the Wii U platform. With no mention of it coming to other consoles during the conference or press release.
