GBA Donkey Kong Country 2

Find out what NoE says about the game!

Here is some information from NoE about Donkey Kong Country 2.

Monkey-madness is back again with Donkey Kong Country 2, a new simian side-scroller for the Game Boy Advance.

The original Donkey Kong Country was raising eyebrows even before its 1994 Super Nintendo Entertainment System release. Many were so astounded by its graphical qualities that they believed it to be one of the first games for the Nintendo 64! When it was released, players were blown away by the graphics, but more importantly the gameplay.

Featuring Donkey Kong, rascal-sidekick Diddy Kong, and the ever-wise Cranky Kong, Donkey Kong Country became an overnight global phenomenon, selling over 8 million copies worldwide. Subsequent sequels improved the series even further, and made the family of Kongs a recognised brand the world over.

Donkey Kong Country 2 is a reworking of the classic title from the Super NES, featuring pixel-perfect graphics that improve over the already scrumptious original ones, multiplayer mini-games galore, and the same captivating gameplay that has elevated the series to a 'classic' status.

In this new Game Boy Advance title, Diddy and Dixie Kong are tasked with saving the kidnapped Donkey Kong from the clutches of Kaptain K. Rool who is vying for DK's entire banana stash! Players must play as both Diddy and Dixie to complete the challenges that face them across 38 levels, searching every nook and cranny for those life-saving bananas, and the tons of secrets to be found for those willing to go the distance.

Once a level is cleared, players can attempt to clear it in an even faster time in the 'Diddy's Dash' game mode, for others to challenge. In between the main platforming shenanigans you will be presented with several kinds of mini-games that must be completed to win prizes, glory, and plenty of bananas. Examples include ostrich racing, gyrocopter blasting action in 'Funky's Flight,' bug-catching in 'Bag a Bug,' and 'Bonus Bonanza' where players can partake in a wacky simian-themed quiz.

Several of these mini-games can also be played with up to three friends who also have a Game Boy Advance and a Game Boy Advance Link Cable. Get your ostriches up to speed in 'Expresso Racing', a competition for which a player's ostrich can be specifically trained by collecting golden feathers hidden throughout the levels. 'Funky's Flight' becomes a multiplayer deathmatch game like you've never seen before, and 'Diddy's Dash' can be played by two players in a race to reach the end of the level.
