Nintendo announces Nintendo 3DS XL

Rumours have been flying over an XL model for the 3DS, during Nintendo Direct it was revealed the handheld device existed.

The XL model (known as the 3DS LL in Japan) will have a 4.88" screen, which is drastically different to the original 3DS models 3.53" screen. The bottom screen is also bigger coming in at 4.18" instead of 3.02".

Battery Life has taken a major boost coming in at 6-10 hours which is more then double of the original 3DS.

There is also no second Circle Pad on the 3DS XL. Expect more information on the device from the American and European Nintendo Direct.

Update: $199 in America. Launching August 19th.
