Wii U details coming September 13?

On September 13, Nintendo of America is planning a major Wii U press conference. According to the invitation, we will "more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment."

The event, set for New York City, will most likely be similar to Nintendo's last conference on the Nintendo 3DS. During that (all-day) event, Reggie Fils-Aime revealed both the launch date and price for Nintendo 3DS as well as give press the opportunity to go through the launch-window line-up. All this, two months prior to the Nintendo 3DS's release in the United States.

If history repeats itself, we may see a release of the next console in November or early December. This timeframe also match up with earlier reports from Nintendo of Europe on a slight delay of the Wii U's release in Europe, slipping it into December.
