ESHOP Renegad Kid Announces First FPS for the 3DS

After weeks of speculation surrounding Renegade Kid's FPS announcemnet IGN revealed that the new title will be Moon Chronicles. The 'newish' title will be heading to the eShop sometime round March of this year in an eposodic format and is based on the award-winning Moon which we reviewed some time ago.

While there's no official European relase date we'd expect this groudbreaking title soon after the official US outing. As we've already said season one will be a remake of the DS original and will be piced as follows:

Episode 1: $8.99 (contains chapters 1 - 4 + 6 VR Missions: ~4 hours of gameplay).
Episode 2 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 5 - 8: ~2 hours of gameplay).
Episode 3 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 9 - 12: ~2 hours of gameplay).
Episode 4 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 13 - 16: ~2 hours of gameplay).

It's hoped that season two will be available for download sometime next year with the plot revolving around what happens after the storyline of the original moon ends. Renegade Kid's Jools Watsham said about the game:

"We're big fans of TV shows like Lost. We love shows that really cement the feeling where you watch an episode, you have a cliffhanger, and you absolutely need to watch the next one." Watsham and his team admire the way TV shows would intertwine long and short story arcs, and the way those arcs would keep viewers engaged. That's our plan for season two and beyond, [for us] to approach it in a similar way. 'What's the whole point of the season? Where do we start and where do we end up?'"
