Electroplankton
Fish? Music? A new Nintendo DS game? Does anyone remember SimTunes? Update The official website has been opened.
Nintendo throws in a new game for the Nintendo DS: Electroplankton. Not much details are available yet, but we did learn that the game is currently made by the man behind 'Bikkuri Mouse' and 'Simtunes': Toshio Iwai.
Japanese gaming website Nintendo-Inside reports that the game will be released in Japan on April 7 already. Using the touch screen and the (internal) microphone, players will be able to use 10 different electronic planktons, which respond to different behavious and sound. According to the Japanese, the game will be shipped together with included headphones.
In the meantime, we managed to get hold of a scan of a promotional leaflet showing the first visuals of the 'game'.
Update The official website has been opened. Nintendo has opened up the homepage for this title. Many videos of the game in action can be found there, all suggesting a very music-oriented approach.
