Ultimate Brain Games Online?
It's rumour time, but this time with a more firm foundation: will the Nintendo DS's Ultimate Brain Games be online? Update Confirmation through one of our readers...
Earlier, we reported about photographs taken of an information booklet to promote upcoming Nintendo DS games spread across the US. Unfortunately, the photo of the page showing Ultimate Brain Games was not exactly top-of-the-bill...
Today, another photograph appeared, focussing on the screenshots of the game. The new photo shows an interesting detail: "... players online" written in the top-left of the screenshots, next to the wireless connection-strenght icon.
Unfortunately, we can't confirm this photo to be genuine. The screens aren't displayed sharp and the line at the top of the second screen is not (or barely) visible on the original photo of the booklet.
Update If we're to believe the WarpPipe forums, the photo is genuine and the original booklet reads "#### players online".
Update 2 Confirmation through one of our readers... One of our readers, skarmachild, boldly emailed Telegames with his questions on Ultimate Brain Games and Ultimate Card Games being 'online' or not.
The result? Confirmation that both titles will feature local (through the wireless connection) and worldwide multiplay possibilities over Nintendo's wi-fi infrastructure.

Detective.Skarma Also known as D.S Anyway, i'm trying to squeeze more online info out of them just now about chat features on the game. Keep it at gba.n64europe.com for your latest DS/GBA News! (ps:I do not work for them) ;)
Nice detective work skarmachild! ;) Hehe.
Wow! Do the Ultimate Brain Games for GBA have the Go game? Must check!
Soz, i was going to, but i'd already posted the news thingy. I made another email with a pointless question and a question to sneak more info out of em. Q.To play online do you need to be in a Wi-Fi hotspot. - Yes, otherwise you would not have a ramp to the internet. Q.Also, do you know any other DS games going online? - No. (just ta let you know, okay, im gunna stop emailing em now...)
No problem... next time, just use the contact button at the top ;)
PS: Sorry for like 4 posts in a row, just wanted to get the message across!
Thank you, i feel good to be put on a website like this. ^o^
Actually the scan is geniune. There is only one thing, maybe its for a LAN connection. If you see the numbers, it seems to be more than one hundred, but its too blur.
You can thank me now T_T
Oh, and an even more proof for you lucky peeps. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v518/skarmachild/Image3.gif Heh, just doing my job!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v518/skarmachild/Image2.gif ^ proof!
I got a reply!! Im just reading it now.. BRILLIANT NEWS!! Reply v The DS version of each game will include online play via Nintendo's wi-fi infrastructure. Regards --------my email below------- At 04:31 PM 4/17/2005, you wrote: Hello, In the recent shots in the leaflet for the DS. The screens read (at the top) "#### people online". Does that mean UBG DS will be online? The shot is included as an attachment. Thanks, and cant wait till UBG & UCG DS come out! -Ben Johnson
The number reads 1257 I believe. It wouldn't surprise me. I mean, we know that the DS is going WiFi. It's written in stone. Why wouldn't companies run with it?
Yeah, there pretty slow, unlike Atlus. There the best comapany for games who actually tell you whats going on.
Would be nice if you got some confirmation, since I didn't even get a reply from Telegames a month ago :-/
If A.I. is decent, this would be great for me and older section of DS customer base. I wonder how well AI will handle Go in this.
I have contacted Telegames about this, so expect me to post when i get confirmation (or lack of)!
Indeed it could
Heh, my mate scanned this in a while ago and now its EVERYWHERE. He is famous! XD
