Ultimate Spider-Man

We've received word from Activision that a new title is heading our way.

Activision has acknowledged the development of a new game based on the Spider-Man series: Ultimate Spider-Man for the consoles. This console version was first shown in a PlayStation 2 magazine less than a week ago (scans of that article can be found here). Activision is aiming to keep this game close to the Ultimate Spider-Man-comics and is thus using a cell-shaded art type for the game itself.

Now Activision has spilled the beans. Apart from the PC and console-versions (PS2, XBox and GameCube), versions for other platforms are in the works as well. At the moment, we've received confirmation for both a GBA and Nintendo DS version of the game. Whether the game will be a cell-shaded/comic-styled game as Spider-Man 2 for the GameBoy Advance was, remains unknown for the time being.

  The DS version will be a port of the GBA version. A no-brainer, unless something happens and it becomes cel-shaded.
