Gamestop Shows Nintendo DS Boxarts
Online reseller Gamestop added a bunch of first party Nintendo DS games boxarts to its database. Head inside for 8 games coming from the Nintendo stables.
Online reseller Gamestop has updated its games database and added eight boxarts of Nintendo DS games coming from Nintendo themselves. Whether the boxarts are final art or mock-ups by Gamestop is still unclear (as Gamestop usually adds a 'only for display purpose' message on their own mock-ups), but the boxarts are worthy to be seen.
An odd sight, to see only one boxart for Nintendogs. Is Gamestop suggesting that the US (and possibly Europe) will receive only one version of the game?

Are these definately final?
"<b>Whether the boxarts are final art or mock-ups by Gamestop is still unclear (as Gamestop usually adds a 'only for display purpose' message on their own mock-ups), but the boxarts are worthy to be seen.</b>" reading the story instead of only looking at the colorful pictures might prevent asking such questions ;)
They all look like finals except New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS. I'm sure they'll put more effort into those two than they have on the temp. box art.
They can't REALLY be calling it "New Super Mario Bros.", can they? I mean, that's a really dumb name!
Super Mario bros 4 please.
Yeah, I don't like the "NEW", I'd rather it be called SMB4. I wouldn't mind one version of Nintendogs, with all of the dogs, that way I don't have to spend $90+ to get all 3 versions.
Notice how in every mario game for DS, it has had Luigi in it on the front too! Go Luigi.
I'm sure they'll redo the M&L2 box. And, I don't know. Nintendo might make it New SMB... You never know with Nintendo. ;)
lets see which ones look like they arent real well too many to say so the first 2 and the last one look real....
Metroid Pinball has a friggin good box!! Too bad the box is actually better than the game itself... Mario Kart is going to be the DS game of the year! or Metroid Prime but seeing as how MarioKart is online i think it has won!! did i mention ONLINE!!!
The Animal Crossing one looks too cheap to be real...
I'm absolutely astonished at the negative reaction here. They're great box art in my eyes - they did away with the traditional art targetting young audience and went for a little more subtle art. It's clear to me that Nintendo is trying to move away A LITTLE BIT from the kiddy image they ended up with in the west.
