Dig Dug is back!

You heard right, Dig Dug will be digging his way into the DS (not literally). UPDATE The first scans have arrived.

According to the latest edition of Famitsu magazine, Dig Dug: Digging Strike (yup, another 'DS' title) will be coming to Nintendo DS this Japan on 8th September.

No words on a European/US release yet.
