NDS Blizzard Games DS Bound?

In a small inquiry by Blizzard, it appears that the company is indeed interested in throwing in some Nintendo DS games...

In Blizzards most recent newsletter, the company asked its readers whether they are interested in buying the strategy game Diablo II on the Nintendo DS (and Sony PSP) if it would feature wireless multiplaying options. Right after this question, Blizzard continued with asking whether the readers would buy Realtime Strategy game StarCraft on the Nintendo DS (sorry, no PSP here).

Blizzard has not yet announced any plans for development for the Nintendo DS (nor for the Sony PSP), but is showing interest in the handheld business once more after its Lost Vikings and Rock 'n' Roll Racing on the GameBoy Advance.

  • A true no brainer. If Nintendo wanted to show how smart they were, they would be getting behind Blizzard. Perfect technology for Diablo/*craft style gaming. I don't really care for the 'craft series, but on the DS I'd probably give it another try. Diablo would totally own - wifi playable, map/stats on the top (toggle-able to see more playfield) blah blah ... I think it would legitimize the DS to core PC gamers in a way that would secure the DS's position at the top of the portable charts permanently.

  • It would definitely be awesome if they did support the DS.
