Asphalt Urban GT 2 For Nintendo DS?

Rumour alert from Germany: there might be a successor to Asphalt Urban GT in the works.

Actually, there is a successor to Asphalt Urban GT in the works. Nokia has announced that Gameloft is currently working on Asphalt Urban GT 2 for the Nokia N-Gage, and is currently set for a release this November.

As both Asphalt Urban GT and Splinter Cell on the Nintendo DS originated on the N-Gage versions which were originally developed by Gameloft, our german colleagues at PlanetDS.de are wondering whether this second racer will reach the Nintendo DS as well.

  It would make sense to port it to DS. It?s propably pretty easy to port and N-Gage version just can?t sell enough copies.

  Wasn't Asphault 1 sort of "meh"? Did it even sell well? I'm sure the sequel will come to the DS anyway. I hope it's less pixally this time. Off topic: StarFox for GBA? http://www.gamecrazy.com/games/game.aspx?id=7816 :D
