Mario & Luigi: PiT Fact Sheet
Nintendo has issued a new fact sheet for the highly anticipated RPG from Alphadream/Nintendo Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Update: new screenshots added.
Nintendo of America has issued a new fact sheet for their upcoming Nintendo DS title, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Set to release on November 28th, 2005, the forthcoming title will mark the first sequel to the popular Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga on the GameBoy Advance.
The company has announced today that a myriad of their popular characters are set to make an appearance in Partners in Time. Aside from Mario, Luigi, and their young counterparts, Bowser, Baby Bowser, Peach, Baby Peach, E. Gadd, Toadsworth, Kamek, and even Yoshi will be present in the title.
The game begins when Princess Peach mysteriously disappears into the past via Professor E. Gadd's time machine. Thus, Mario and Luigi embark on a quest to bring the princess back to her proper world. Once arriving in the past, the two heroes discover younger versions of themselves. The group of four then battles an alien race known as the Shroobs along their quest to find the princess.
Players progress though the title by utilizing the unique abilities of the game four main characters. The RPG like game will allow for character progression, as after each enemy character the four heroes acquire experience points. During the game, Mario and Luigi will be forced to solve several complex puzzles, jump insurmountable gaps, and battle fearsome creatures from the past.
The game uses both screens of the Nintendo DS to split up control of the four characters when applicable. As the game progresses, the protagonists learn new and more advanced moves such as a Spin Jump, Hammer Dive and Ball Bros special attack.
Features:
- In this sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the Mario bros. team up with their young selves on a quest of lunatic proportions. Control both sets of bros. to explore the very fabric of time and take on an evil alien entity known as the Shroobs.
- Duke it out with crazy foes using the celebrated fast-action battle system unique to Mario & Luigi games. Dodge enemy attacks individually, then use items like the Trampoline and Cannonballer to team up all four bros. for super moves.
- The second screen will quickly become the players' best friend as they use it to study the land, keep track of the pair of bros. not under their control and even maximize combo moves in battle.Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time will utilize the Rumble Pack accessory of the Nintendo DS to add an extra flare to the game action.

Sweet. so does that mean we'll get a Metroid RPG soon? Since Dread was canned.
