Hacker Unleashes Mario Kart DS Tracks
A homebrew 'hacker' managed to get some of the offline tracks in Mario Kart DS playable online through the Nintendo WiFi Connection service.
Mario Kart DS holds quite a few tracks. However, in the online mode, just a relatively small subset of these tracks are available to compete on. A homebrew 'hacker' going by the nickname of Parasyte now managed to modify the code and, if the voting system allows, he can get 12 more tracks playable for all.
As all of the offline tracks, like 'Tick-Tock Clock', are available on every cartridge, the hacker can simply refer to the tracks. Whether Nintendo will take note of this exploit and take measures, remains unknown for the time being.

he dosn't explain how he does it though... :/
The guy is using a modified rom copy, in which he's most likely sending a pointer to a different rack than the ones available in the voting-system.
heh...it wont work...Nintendo always runins it.
And there isnt any lag in the levels either.
Well, most of the levels. Some as Banshee Boardwalk work 100% fine, God knows why Nintendo didn't include the level...
Well, some people already found some hidden (debug?) levels as well, such as a giant donut. Often, stuff like this is left in the final version because some devr's are afraid breaking anything while removing stuff... Won't explain the missing online tracks though.
they took them out cos they would coause lag didnt they. if they work fine then why not let it happen. would be better with all tracks to choose from
