Japanese Mario Kart Boosts Nintendo DS Sales 78 Percent
Mario Kart DS is booming due to the online features. Nintendo of Japan is definately aware of this fact now.
According to GameFront, Nintendo of Japan has sold 300.000 Nintendo DS units in the week between December 5 and 11.
The 300.000 units mean a growth of 78 percent compared to the week before. Although not every single Nintendo DS sale was (of course) dedicated to the release of Mario Kart DS, the fact that over 220.000 copies of the game where sold within this same week most likely helped boosting the sales.
