Diner Dash Heading For DS And GBA
We know we're 5 days late, but as Diner Dash won't be here for at least 6 more months, we're still in time with the announcement.
Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, and PlayFirst, one of the leading publishers of casual games announced a partnership to bring the PC downloadable brand, Diner Dash, to leading handheld game platforms including Sony's PSP, and Nintendo's Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance.
Already a top-selling title in the casual games space on PC and mobile phones, Diner Dash and its female protagonist, Flo, exemplify the growing demand for casual games across an increasing number of gaming platforms.
"Diner Dash supports our continuing focus on building character-rich games for gamers across all platforms," said Ian Livingstone, Product Acquisition Director, Eidos Interactive. "PlayFirst has demonstrated its ability to build a popular franchise out of highly innovative intellectual property, and it's exciting to introduce Diner Dash to a broader audience."
"Eidos is an undisputed leader in publishing and distribution for handheld game platforms and is the perfect partner for extending the reach of Diner Dash," said Rich Roberts, vice president of sales and business development, PlayFirst. "They are committed to bringing fresh, innovative content to both core and casual gamers around the world."
Diner Dash will be available on the Sony PSP, Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advance in 2007.

Diner Dash is a strategy based arcade game using restaurant theme. There is only one waitress for the restaurant that's controlled by the player and you got to make the most money out of customers. First, customer come into the restaurant and waiting to be seated. It's the player's job to find a table suitable for the number of people in the party. By matching the customer color with the seat color, some bonus money can be made. Customers will then demand menu which you have to supply. After a while they will be ready to order and you have to take the order to the kitchin. After the food is up, deliver them to the correct table and then deliver the bill afterward. After cleaning the table, it is ready for the next set of customers. Just go to Games.Yahoo.com, Flo's Diner Dash 2 has been on the top of the featured games for a while.
Agreed, I don't think I will pay for this game when I can play it on-line for free. Or even better, download the Flash file onto my computer and play it with a Flash Player.
