ALL New Reviews

Not two, but three reviews this time. And, as its the holiday season, it'll be the only three for the next few weeks.

Holidays are coming up and even the DS-x2 team would like to have some time to themselves. Even though it's perfectly possible that we'll spend our free time playing Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS games, the time has come to look back at the titles we liked and play them to the fullest extend. The result? The three reviews listed below will be the only three you will get for the next few weeks. After that, we'll be back of course with brand new reviews.

This week we'll have three reviews as stated above. Although two of these will be based on the same intellectual property, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS are completely different titles. On the Game Boy Advance version, it's up to you to guide Jack Sparrow and friends through a 2D action-platformer, battling undead and angry colonial soldiers. The Nintendo DS version however includes more action and minigames and... 3D graphics. 2D or 3D, which one represents the movie at best? Read the reviews to find out.

Our final review for the time being comes from Raylight Studios. Street Racing Syndicate Raylight took theor 3D engine and created a new racer for our trusty Game Boy Advance. With racers like V-Rally 3 and Top Gear Rally on the shelves already, did Raylight hit the spot and cash in big time, or not? Read the Street Racing Syndicate to find our what Andrew Blanchard thought of it.

  • Yes, the controls in SRS really are pretty bad. You have to be really careful when turning.
