NDS Star Fox Command - Information and Videos

Due to the leaked rom, several people were able to get their hands on the import version of Star Fox Command. They have given us some facts and even some videos for us to check out. Information inside!

If you're looking for some new information, you might want to check out this thread that was made over at GameFAQS. It seems like there will be a variety of characters to play with in single player, but sadly in Wi-Fi you will only be able to play as Fox. You can check out some of the videos to get a glimpse of the new "strategy" that was integrated into the game.

  • Nintendo most likely wanted only fox playable online to avoid unbalanced issues with other characters. One could argue Nintendo's being lazy or rushing the online mode, and another could argue it's a safe bet. I say it's a good, safe, bet. Bleach and Metroid both have their controversies with suposive "cheap" characters online.

  • thats pretty crappy on nintendos part for fox only wifi. but what i want to know is there any alternate controls? i mean metroid was a stroke of luck because it was an FPS but star fox is a third person shooter, and plus your in a ship. so how is it possible? btw there are no cheap hunters in MPH because if you are a seasoned hunter than you are good with any hunter.

  • It's cool that James McCloud is a playable character though... he's alive! Yay =)

  • Drat, full touchscreen controls. I was hoping it would be like with the flying parts in StarWars III, with the dpad and screen ocmbined. I love hybrid controlschemes in games. This looks SO arkward with turning and, well, everything else.

  • maybe it is only the leaked ROM. But as i said before the release of the Nintendo DS: they should put one giga or two of flash memory in the console, so we could download updates for online games. Every multiplayer game played online need some rebalancing after the release, it is nearly a law, because beta testers can't do all the work alone in a online game.

  • o u have the ROM dont you. its a pity they dont have a fully functional emulator.

  • Instead, i think it is great that there isn't already fully funcional emulators for NDS. If we like a game, we should buy it. Emulators are intended to play old generation games and to preserve them from time, not for piracy.

  • i actually use emulators to try out games that dont come to the US and sample games that i might waqnt to buy so ha im not a pirater.

  • I'm not sure this is the right place to discuss this topic. Please coninue it in the forums as both developers and publishers read this site.

  • star wars 3 wasnt a bad game for flying, bots got old fast with their crappiness.

  • I do not have an account in the forums, the last time i tried to join they were bugged. Another thing: if "developers and publishers" read this site and talking generally of emulators may offend them, so this news too is off limits, because talks about a leaked ROM. So you must remove any reference to a leak.
